Part A. Think of the last interview you attended and discuss these questions

What was the worst thing about it?
It was in English, the whole interview.

What difficult questions were you asked?
Actually, they were basic questions, fortunately :)

Why do you think you were successful, or unsuccessful?
I was successful, because I was hired! :D

If you could go through the interview again, what would you do differently?
I would try to be less nervous.

In an interview, do you always have to be completely honest?
Yes I do, in most of the things.

What impression do you try to give In an interview?
That you are responsible and the best candidate for the job.

13.2 Applying for a job


Part B #4 
Imagine that you want to apply for the job. Draft an application letter.

Receptionist

Dear Mr. Lopez:

My name is Danya Cardenas, I’m 20 years old, and I’m from San Jose del Cabo, B.C.S. Mexico.
I’m student of Touristic Business Management in the UGC from 7 am to 12 pm.
I’ve never worked in a hotel before as a receptionist, but when I was in High School I practiced in a hotel as a Hostess.
I’ve worked as a 3 American children nanny, so I have an excellent level of English and I know several technicalities of the job.
I can establish a good conversation in English and I dominate Spanish.
I have a technical career in Tourism Hospitality.
I met the requirements of the job in a poster out of the Human Recourses office when I came to ask about professional training.
I will be available for an interview every day after 3 o’clock.

13.1 The ideal job.

Part A

What would you enjoy about each of the jobs?
Flight Attendant: I would enjoy meeting people and knowing a lot of places, because I would travel a lot.
Police Officer: I would enjoy fining :)
Camera Operator: I’damera Operator: i':)ould enjoy meeting people and knowing a lot of places, becuase  enjoy meeting famous people.
Tamer: I wouldn’t enjoy anything at all, I don’t like this job.

What would you dislike about each job?
Flight Attendant: I wouldn’t like not being in just one place, or not always spend time with my family.
Police Officer: I wouldn’t like to deal with offenders, because it’s dangerous.
Camera Operator: I’m ok with it :)
Tamer: I wouldn’t like to deal with wild animals! It’s too dangerous!!! It scares me. :S

What are the most important things for you in your work?
1. Job satisfaction
2. Earning plenty of money
3. Having pleasant co- workers
4. Meeting people
5.  Security
6. Earning enough money.

Out of all the people you know, who has the job you’d most like to have? Why?
I don’t know any person with an interesting job… :(

If you could choose any job in the world to do, what would it be? Why?
I would like to be marine biologist, because I’ve always liked marine life.
Nurse, but I discovered that I can’t see a lot of blood because It makes me nauseous :s

UNIT 10 MARKETING


MARKETING MIX

PRODUCT:
Applelicious… Be health… Be Applelicious! ;)
 Its apples covered with chili paste, sprinkled with chili powder.

PRICE:
$25 Pesos

PLACE:
Schools. (Colleges, High Schools, Junior High Schools)

PROMOTION:
Posters, Flyers, Blog, Tastings.

MARKETING PLAN:
Promote our product going to colleges, high schools, Junior High Schools, etc, to distribute flyers and paste posters on the walls, also doing tastings so the potential client con taste, obviously, the product.

INGREDIENTS:
1 APPLE
1CHILI PASTE
1 spn CHILI POWDER
1 STICK
½ LEMON

PROCESS:
First of all, wash the apples and wait until they’re dry.
Then, extend the chili paste carefully.
After that, cover the apple with the paste until it is uniformly distributed.
Then, use the half of the lemon and spread it in the tip of the stick
Finally, introduce the stick in the apple and sprinkle it with the chili powder.
